tenacity Herbicide

What is it > Overview

Tenacity™ herbicide provides unprecedented degrees of freedom to manage weeds, both broadleaves and grasses, without limiting other key aspects of turf management.

With its proprietary active ingredient, mesotrione, Tenacity herbicide can be used both as a pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide to selectively control 46 weeds and grass species, including creeping bentgrass in Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, or fine and tall fescue. This systemic herbicide is safe to use on established or newly seeded turf.

A new active ingredient
• Mesotrione is based on a naturally occurring compound produced by the bottlebrush plant (Callistemon citrinis)
• Naturally inhibits and prevents formation of carotenoids in susceptible plant species
• Results in the bleaching of leaves and the death of the plant
• Reduced risk due to low use rates, favorable toxicity, and human health profile
