Syngenta honored with Employee Resource Group Award in Ragan’s Employee Communications Awards

GREENSBORO, N.C., USA, May 3rd, 2024 – Syngenta Crop Protection is proud to announce that it has been named a winner in the Employee Resource Group category at Ragan’s Employee Communications Awards for their creation and active involvement of the FFA Alumni & Supporters Business Resource Group. This award recognizes an organization that went above and beyond in their efforts to engage employee populations through building communities based on shared interests or goals.

Syngenta's North America Crop Protection and Corporate Communications Team with their award.

The Employee Communications Awards, organized by Ragan Communications, is a highly competitive program that celebrates and recognizes the most outstanding internal communications campaigns and initiatives from the past year, shining a spotlight on companies and individuals who have excelled in fostering effective communication, engagement and collaboration within their organizations.

Finalists in this year’s program were honored at a special industry event on Thursday, April 18, at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago, where category winners were revealed. Learn about the event and winning work here.

Syngenta Crop Protection’s FFA Business Resource Group stood out among a diverse range of entries, showcasing creativity, philanthropy, and creative thinking in the Employee Resource Group category. The judges specifically recognized a friendly fundraising competition between Syngenta divisions, which helped break donation records for the National FFA Foundation.

Syngenta’s resource group set the fundraising target at $25,000, but thanks to a creative inter-company challenge to see which function could raise the most donations, an estimated 240 gifts totaling $103,085 were donated during the 24-hour Give FFA Day fundraising event. This collective financial donation supports the development and education of FFA students and the next generation of ag. This resource group and the creative fundraising tactics won Syngenta US the FFA Alumni Chapter of the Year Award and the Ragan Communications Awards.

"Congratulations to Syngenta Crop Protection,” said Brendan Gannon, Senior Marketing Manager for Awards Programs at Ragan Communications. "This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of your team, whose innovative strategies, compelling campaigns and inspiring initiatives have transformed your organization's internal communication practices.”
