Syngenta appoints Chris Davison Head, Business Sustainability for North America

  • Syngenta veteran moves from Canada-focused position to lead strategic business area for North America
  • Will play a key role as Syngenta accelerates its innovation in support of challenges faced by farmers and the environment
Chris Davison photoWASHINGTON, D.C., USA, June 3, 2019 – Syngenta announced today the appointment of Chris Davison as Head, Business Sustainability for North America, effective June 1. Davison, previously head of Corporate & Government Affairs for Syngenta in Canada, is relocating from Guelph, Ontario, to Washington, D.C.

Since joining Syngenta in 2012, Davison has been instrumental in the company’s adoption of significant sustainability initiatives in Canada and has led multiple advocacy efforts in support of farmers and the industry. He has extensive experience in agriculture, in both the public and private sectors, including leading public relations and communications practices with private-sector consulting firms and working with the federal government in Canada, where he advised on matters relating to animal health, plant health, food safety, industry regulations and trade.

“With more than 25 years of experience in public affairs and communications, Chris brings tremendous expertise and value to this position,” said Alexandra Brand, Chief Sustainability Officer of Syngenta. “He will play a key role in North America as Syngenta accelerates its innovation to address the increasing challenges for farmers and the changing views of society. Davison holds a master’s degree in public administration and a post-graduate certificate in public relations.
