Greensboro Grasshoppers Announce Syngenta as Sponsor of Field Conditions at NewBridge Bank Park

Greensboro, NC — The Greensboro Grasshoppers announced Syngenta is the official sponsor of field conditions at NewBridge Bank Park. Throughout the 2010 season, the field at NewBridge Bank Park will be kept lush, green and in top playing condition with the help of turf care products from Syngenta.

A leading employer and a long-standing member of the Greensboro and Guilford County business communities, Syngenta manufactures market-leading herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and plant growth regulators for the professional turf and ornamental plant industries.

“We are thrilled about this opportunity to partner with the Grasshoppers and provide the products and support they’ll need to produce healthy, beautiful field conditions,” said Dan Steltz, Lawn and Landscape market manager for Syngenta. “Syngenta is dedicated to this community and is happy to support a team that brings so much enjoyment to so many fans. By helping to contribute to the overall experience for fans visiting NewBridge Bank Park, we hope they will consult with their lawn care professional on ways to create the same type of lush turf at home.”

The Greensboro Grasshoppers are the Single-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins and have welcomed over 1,250,000 fans in their first three seasons, becoming the only Class A team in the history of Minor League Baseball to draw over 400,000 fans and grow its attendance for three straight years in a new ballpark.  They are the proud recipients of both the South Atlantic League's Club Merit Award and the General Manager of the Year Award for the past three years.
